Baby Lion Productions (BLP) was established in New York City in 2003 for the purposes of motion picture and audio production. The company is now located just east of Denver, CO at 1410 Chester Street, Aurora CO 80010.

Independence is BLP's first digital feature-length film and was shot on location in Cozad & Hastings, NE. It was screened privately in New York City in November of 2006 and premiered at the Omaha Film Festival in March of 2007. It is currently available on DVD.
